    (d. 1904 )

    Algerian female saint and head of Rahmania Sufi zawiyah. Opposed to French colonial order. Took vow of celibacy, which gave her spiritual authority, freedom of movement, social empowerment, and the opportunity to devote herself completely to the care of the indigent, overseeing the zawiyah's social services, and promoting the mission of cultural redemption.
