Labor Party of Egypt

Only legal Islamist party in Egypt and from 1987 the leading opposition party. Immediate goal is ending one-party rule and chronic corruption. Links democracy to Islam: without a central priesthood to interpret scriptures, the existence of different interpretations is legitimate, as are different political programs and parties.
