Hafsa bint Umar

Daughter of second caliph, Umar ibn al-Khattab . After being widowed at the Battle of Badr in 624 , she became a wife of Muhammad ( 625 ). He may have divorced her but then taken her back. She is traditionally associated with surah 66:1–5 . Segments of the earliest manuscript of the Quran were in her possession when she died.
